Nicholas Chamberlaine School, Bedworth, Warwickshire joined MiSST in September 2019.

There are currently 750 students on the Andrew Lloyd Webber Programme learning violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, tenor horn, trombone, euphonium.Nicholas Chamberlaine works in partnership with the Warwickshire Music Hub to deliver high quality MiSST lessons to our students from dedicated instrument specialists. The undoubted highlights of our musical year are the orchestral workshops which are held at least twice a year for every single student on the MiSST programme. This involves creating a multi instrumental orchestra of up to 140 musicians to work on selected repertoire during the school day. The sense of fulfilment that this engenders in our students is very special indeed.

When I came to Nicholas Chamberlaine, I chose to play the Flute because I liked the way it looked and sounded. It seemed different. I can now read music really well. I really enjoy playing in the year group orchestra workshop because it gives me a sense of being part of a community, and it sounds good. Most of all though, it’s just fun!”
